Sydnee Carter - A Young Singer Who Made The Right Decision.
A chill run's up and down every musician's spine when they discover a young, new talent. Once found any musician worth their salt, will do all they can to prepare them for the path ahead. Sydnee Carter, is such a talent. I would like all, particularly any Musician's in Perth, to look out and after her.
Sydnee is special in her way. Like a few others from talent shows, Sydnee is an ex- "X-Factor" finalist who chose to remain an Independent Artist. This was to maintain creative control and direction. A wise choice. She is in good company there, Owen Campell and Wes Carr, (for example) Musician's with a love of their creative freedom.
Sydnee's Management Announced,
"Sydnee Carter gained some insight into the Music Industry through her role as an entrant in the "X-Factor". She decided however to do things Independently." Which I personally think is the right decision."
Sydnee's voice is similiar to Julia Stone, without the vibtato in it. This will undoubtably change as her career progressess. I can see her voice developing into something special. I envy her the journey, discovering unknown talents on her path ahead.

Sydnee Carter is a 17 year old indie/folk/contemporary singer/songwriter from Perth, Western Australia. Sydnee had basic guitar lessons for about a year, but taught herself from that point on and was in-charge of her own musical learning and development without vocal coaching since she purchased her first acoustic guitar at age 7. Sydnee came to media attention after reaching the live auditions of X Factor Australia 2014.
Sydnee captured the interest of international audiences, when Ashton Kutcher posted her full X Factor audition on his facebook page and later shared the audition on twitter.
On the X Factor, Sydnee progressed through from the live auditions to boot camp to making it through the final 6 of the under 25 girls, where under the mentoring of Ronan Keating, she performed for international recording artist John Legend to make it into the final 3 under 25 girls to proceed to the live shows in NSW Australia. Sydnee survived 5 weeks of live shows based on public votes.
Since her elimination from the show, Sydnee has been performing on a weekly basis for charity events, corporate and private functions, also performing at telethon and live acoustic sets for radio and has now recorded an EP of original music due out in February 2015.
Sydnee is looking forward to being able to share her original music at her performances.
"Working on my E.P. meant I could really explore myself as an Artist and deliver honest, real songs written from the heart." (Sydnee Carter)
